Our work

We train, we place, we mentor, we advocate.

Four things, done with the institutions that shape Somali energy — for the women who build the sector, and the women it serves.

  1. Train

    Technical and professional training for women entering and working in the sector, delivered directly and with partners.

  2. Place

    We place women into paid internships with utilities, ministries and energy projects. Paid only, because unpaid work is not a career path.

  3. Mentor

    Women already established in the sector stay reachable to the ones coming behind them — not for a programme cycle, but for as long as it takes.

  4. Advocate

    For the women who build the sector — that placements become permanent posts, and that its commitments to women are kept. And for the women it serves — access to electricity and clean cooking, because energy is not a luxury.
